Back to School - Ruff For the Dogs
Back to School time for your household is exciting and nerve wracking not just for the humans, but for the pets as well. Here we share our favourite tips/tricks to make the transition as easy as possible.
Trimming your pets nails
Many owners are unsure of how far & how often to cut their pets nails. Nail trims can be scary for both pets and their owner, it is important that we always remember that our pets are very intune to our emotions, so be calm. If you have never trimmed your pet’s nails before you, start slow and small so that you and your pet become comfortable with all the variables involved in a smooth nail trimming experience.
YES, just like us your dog should have proper posture. If they do not, then every exercise they do moving forward could be setting your dog up for injury, disuse and compensations.
Just as important as posture, how does your dog transition their movement? These transitions may be affected by poor posture. These transitions include how they sit and how they lay down.
What will we be working on during this workshop?
evaluating your dogs posture
learning how to correct your dogs posture
evaluating your dogs transition to sit and then to stand
evaluating your dogs down and then stand
FUN exercises to build postural muscles and strengthen transitions
This workshop is good for puppies, adults and senior… we all could use posture correction, before it leads to pain.
We will have working spots (where you can bring your dog) and watching spots (where you can come and learn but leave your dog at home)
